Berkeley Community Media’s Award Show 2008… The BCMemmys!
More and more of the viewing public are becoming familiar with the vast selection of talented producers that call Berkeley Community Media their home. Hours upon hours of exciting and outstanding cable compositions were created within the BCM halls by these masters of television magic….and now their long overdue recognition is coming to light! That’s why it is our privilege to announce the upcoming show of all shows: THE BCMemmys 2008! (The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences they have their Emmys…but at BCM we have B- C-Memmys.) Don’t miss this exciting event that leaves other television events sitting somewhere on TIVO….better than the Emmys, bigger than the Oscars, more powerful than the Peoples’ Choice…that’s right, the BCMemmys AWARDS SHOW 2008 is a must see that will be talked about around every water cooler in Berkeley. Who we are
Berkeley Community Media is dedicated to community access to the media by and for Berkeley residents. Many people know us through B-TV Channel 28, the community access television station run by BCM and by B-TV Channel 33 that airs City Council and other government meetings. We also provide low-cost classes, access to video equipment, editing suites and studios, a popular internship program, and ongoing advocacy with the City and Comcast to protect and enhance these resources for Berkeley residents. Our mission is to build an electronic free speech forum in order to encourage democratic involvement and build community.
